Break-even sale price

The break-even price equals the cost per kg; your target margin is added on top. Since feed cost is FCR × feed price, every FCR improvement lowers the break-even price.

Allocating costs to batches

Allocating shared costs (labour, energy) to batches by biomass or days shows which batch truly made a profit.

FCRSOFT

FCRSOFT does this for you automatically

You don’t need to do the calculations and checks on this page by hand every day. FCRSOFT derives them all automatically from the records entered in the field.

  • Feed, labour and energy costs are allocated to each batch and kilogram.
  • Production cost per kg and profit margin are reported per batch.
  • Sales, invoices and collections live in the same system as production data.
